The system works by passing all of the email for your organization through our filtering systems where it checked by more than 1600 individual custom rules. The messages are then given a score based on the results of the rules checks. If the score of the messages exceeds a predertimed level its subject line is modified adding the words PROBABLE SPAM. The message is then delivered on to the recipient at your organization where filters on their local email client can isolate that message so that they can examine it when it is convenient.

If a message gains a score above a higher level the message is quarantined at our server and not delivered to your email server. Each day anyone that has a message quarantined will get a digest email of all of the messages quarantined including subject and who it was from. From that digest message they can request that the message be sent to them and the system will release the message. If they do not want any of the messages after 3 days they are deleted from the system.

The Trios Email Filtering system also does 2 levels of virus scanning so you are assured that your inbound mail is virus free.
